~ ADDING ANOTHER 5 - 10 Marks ~
Remember these few pointers & you'll EASILY score another EXTRA 5 - 10 marks or more.
1) You are sitting for a SCIENCE PAPER NOT an English Comprehension paper!
After answering the basic question, you have to follow-up with the SCIENCE CONCEPT.
SCIENCE PAPER is testing you on the SCIENCE CONCEPTS!
NO SCIENCE CONCEPTS = NO MARKS!
E.g.
Describe...
Explain why...
Suggest a reason why...
Explain how...
Give a reason for your answer...
Explain your answer....
etc.
You NEED to put in your keywords / key concepts of the topic for all the above type of questions!
2) You need to know that QUESTIONS CAN ALWAYS CHANGE....
BUT....
SCIENCE CONCEPT DOES NOT CHANGE!
The ANSWER will definitely be something which you've LEARNT BEFORE / WRITTEN BEFORE !
Use your R.I.P to identify the Chapter --> Topic --> Science Concept being tested
...and you'll know your ANSWER!
3) Remember that a question may have 2 or 3 parts: 41a, 41b, 41c
DO NOT SOLVE THEM SEPARATELY!
They are 95% of the time INTER-RELATED!

SCIENCE ANSWERS / KNOWLEDGE which you should know:
1) Flower X did not bear fruit because it does not have stigma thus it cannot receive the pollen grains, resulting in the egg cell not being fertilised.
2) The xylem / water-carryign tubes is damaged thus water could not be transported to the leaves,....*CONTINUE EXPLAINING*.... the leave in the branch could not photosynthesise to make food and died.
3) They concluded that the greater their masses, the faster their hear rates while runing.
4) Explain how a faster heart rate helps to provide a greater amount of energy:
The heart beats faster to pump more oxygenated blood around the body so that respiration can take place faster.
5) Give a reason why Lucas kept Plant A in the cupboard before the start of his experiment:
He wanted to remove the starch that is present in the leaves.
6) Sponge has many holes which are filled with air.
When a sponge is put into a basin of water and pressed, air will escape and bubbles (gas) will be seen coming out of the sponge.
Water level in the basin will decrease as the water occupies the spaces in the sponge.
7) Please be CLEAR when you describe the process of condensation!!!

Answer for questions:
5a) No. It does not matter if Liquid P is a conductor of electricity as the metal clips are connected to Material Q. The circuit is already closed if material Q is an electrical conductor.
b) Yes. Q has got to be a conductor of electricity in order for it to be a closed circuit, as electricity needs to flow through the circuit for the metal clips are connected to the container instead of liquid P.
6a) 5 object X.
b) No. An object that is less than 3 cm in height cannot block the light source and thus the light will still reach the light sensor. Only object greater than 3cm can block the light from the light source.
c) Place the object X nearer to each other on the belt
7a) Light can be absorbed.
b) She is walking away form the lamp during period Y. A longer shadow is cast when Daisy is moving further away from the lamp as more amount of light is blocked than when she is nearer to the lamp.
